Buy a replacement battery online (take out the old and purchase the same model, usually, the battery is CR123A). All you have to do is replace the battery. Low Battery – It means that one of your zones is running on a low battery, the panel will tell you which zone exactly is having an issue. To test it out, you may try to charge your phone from the same outlet (to see if there’s power). Check the power outlet where the system is plugged in, inspect the cable, make sure nothing is loose. You’ll know this because the keypad will not make any beeping sound, but it will light up (using the backup battery). Below we’ve listed the most common issues that you should check when you see the yellow triangle on the ADT alarm panel.ĪC Power Loss – The system is not getting powered. If the beeping is bothering you, you can press the # symbol on the keypad and the warning sound will get silenced. Once you press that code, your zone light should light up and the panel will display any trouble issues. To find out what kind of problem your alarm system is experiencing, simply press *2 (star then 2) on your keypad. There are seven different issues that are noted by the yellow triangle symbol (the so-called trouble condition). If you see this symbol on your alarm panel, it means that there’s an issue with the system that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The yellow triangle on the ADT Alarm system is known as the trouble light. Sometimes this yellow triangle is followed by the system beeping twice every 10 seconds.
